The specific beaches are for those who like peace and quiet and they are located at the northern side of the island. Generally, the beaches at the north side of the island are mostly windy, so it is not easy to enjoy your swimming. If you happen to visit them, though, on a non-windy day, then you will have the chance to swim in amazing turquoise waters.
Both are small black pebble beaches with a rocky sea floor. In Gyalia, the sea is cooler than the rest of the beaches on the island due to the sweet water that gushes from the sea.
